My Father, Reese Kern

When I was a little girl, my daddy was my hero. My first memory of him was walking home from work and sweeping me up to give me a hug. I loved being with him, and sought his approval. As in this picture of the two of us, he read to me and to the family, and his voice still resonates today. I will miss him. I will miss his late night talks, his laughter, and his caring ways. He was my advisor and my trusted friend. I will miss his father's blessings, and wisdom to help me through the tough times. I think I will always be a Daddy's Girl in my heart.
Dad....I love you, and I miss you already.

Years ago, I knew of three ladies in the ward who were all able to buy new furniture! They each drove to Salt Lake City at different times and bought the couch and living room furniture of their dreams. When my friends had the furniture delivered, I, and they, were surprised to see that they had each ordered the exact same stuff! It was then that I decided that if ever I was to be so fortunate, I would not choose something that someone else would even remotely choose! I like being different. This year, I was finally able to work with a decorator for the 1st time in my life. This is my new furniture minus the finishing touches and the gigantic mirror over the fireplace. I was going for a traditional look that would blend in with my antiques. I am pretty happy with it and Kyla thinks it looks FANTASTIC!

Wanted!!

Hey I have been looking for this picture of Jesus. If you know where to find it please contact me. This was a picture that my mother gave to Rusty when he was a little boy. It hung in his room for years. Rusty used to wonder why there was a picture of a boy hanging in his room, it wasn't until after his mission that he realized that there was a halo on the boy and that it was Jesus. A few years ago, my mother found a new picture that I had framed for Rusty's boys. Unfortunately, I did not get one for myself and cannot find one now.

Sear's Best

This Christmas we happened to be ALL together as a family! I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and have a family picture taken at Sears. I think it is the BEST photo we have taken in awhile. Not.

Happy Birthday Woodrow!
Today is Woodrow's 21st Birthday! I had been to work that Wednesday morning and one patient in particular told me to go home and have that baby! I remember laughing and saying that the baby wasn't due for another week or so....I got off work at 12:00 and by the time I arrived home, it was definitely time to go to the hospital. Woodrow was born right around 4:00 that afternoon.
I have loved being his mother. What a joy it has been to have him in our family. We have had some pretty good laughs along the way. Happy Birthday!
